Bill Goddard had a vision some 15 years ago and that was to provide quality workmanship, products and service to the Fine Turf Industry and as a result with wife Ronda the partnership of WG & RE Goddard Enterprises ensued.   In 1999 the partnership was replaced by Wilron Turf Management Pty Ltd with Bill and Ronda still at the helm.   Bill has had a lifetime of experience in the industry and is considered by many as the best in his field.

Predominantly bowling clubs sought Bill’s extensive experience but now also golf, tennis, croquet and sporting clubs along with schools and local councils have also realised the importance of fine turf management and the resultant benefits to the associations themselves. 

Construction, renovation, maintenance, advice and sales are the key components of Wilron Turf Management Pty Ltd.   With Bill’s expertise and the extensive range of machinery and equipment all requirements can be catered for both on natural turf or synthetic surfaces including establishing a new playing surface, replacing existing turf surfaces, laser levelling, overseeding turf areas or preparing advice and programming reports.

As the business grew over the years, it was realised that improved business practices were required if they were to move to the next level.  As such, Bill designed and custom made the multi sensor Laser Levelling Unit which improved the levelling of fine turf surfaces from approximately 5-10 millimetres to + or – 1 millimetre and has now carried out the levelling of some 450 sites state wide with this unit.   This unit is enhanced by the wide tyre articulated mini loader which spreads the soil fast and efficiently minimising wheel marks in the surface.

The recent acquisition of the Turf Overseeder for rectifying turf coverage problems on ovals, golf courses and other turf areas has seen the completion of works at the Royal Agriculture Show Grounds, Port Kennedy Golf Club and Aquinas College to name a few.  The beneficial features of this machine include the direct drilling of seed resulting in reduced seed loss and subsequent cost and minimal interference to play commitments.   Seeding rates are easily adjusted for light and heavy applications and an extensive range of grass seed is available to suit all environments.
